Hal Truner and some others posted that a total lockdown off the waters of the East Coast was in effect and showed some maps concerning it:
If one checks the notams, there are no such notams listed. I also found it a bit strange that there were no LINKS for people to check for themselves. So I decided to check Flight Radar 24 to see if there was aviation activity over the area that was supposedly under total lockdown meaning there would be no flight activity over that entire area. Guess what? It is loaded with airline activity. Here are the two maps I grabbed from Flight Radar:
I therefore conclude this is a total hoax - and shows why these things need to be vetted. There is no lockdown, there are no notams to that efffect that I can find anywhere on government sites, and Hal’s source is a Nic Lovelace who is posting this on social media. So where this Nic Lovelace is getting his info from is not known as he provides no links to his sources…
So there you have it. These types of postings are dangerous because lots of folks will believe them. Not to say that Russia will not attack - they will!!
